Chevy Chase, Maryland 20815
Chevy Chase is the name of both a town and an unincorporated neighborhood in Montgomery County, Maryland. In addition, a number of villages in the same area of Montgomery County include it in their names. These villages, the town, and neighborhood share a common history and together form a larger community colloquially referred to as “Chevy Chase”. This community is roughly centered on Connecticut Avenue north of the District of Columbia and also includes a neighborhood of Washington, D.C., with the same name.
The Norman Rockwell-esque neighborhoods are complete with many and beautiful homes, some stately, on tree lined streets. The location of many of the neighborhoods makes for easy walking to the bustling activity of Bethesda where one can enjoy a meal at one of the many restaurants and cafes or watch a movie, catch a show or shop until you drop at the upscale retail stores available and then take the sidewalk back home to peace and tranquility.
The proximity to Washington, DC makes for very easy commuting. There are two golf course/country clubs: Chevy Chase Country Club and Columbia Country Club, as a few garden clubs and the Audubon Naturalist Society.
Primarily a residential suburb, it also borders a popular shopping district, Friendship Heights, featuring several malls and a variety of high end shops and great restaurants. It is home to the National 4-H Youth Conference Center, where the National Science Bowl is held annually in either late April or early May.
Home choices include single family homes, town-homes and condominiums and apartments. There are different neighborhoods that each have their own charm and offer different housing options. An experienced local Realtor will help both the seller or buyer navigate real estate needs. Tracy Tkac – Evers & Co Real Estate
