Finding the perfect home and neighborhood can be a tall order. Searching for the best neighborhood , school and community for your family can seem overwhelming. I am a full time realtor and am from the DC area. I know the communities, schools and all area neighborhoods. My goal is helping you buy the right home in the right neighborhood with the least frustration for the best price. As your buyer broker I will:
- Personally assist you with identifying your needs and wants for your new neighborhood.
- Notify you the moment appropriate properties come on the market in your search area.
- Advise you on current market values to help you make the most educated investment in your new home.
- Negotiate the best transaction for you and/or make recommendations on how to make the best possible offer in multiple offer situations
- Make recommendations on home inspectors, title companies, mortgage brokers, contractors from a proven list of reputable professionals
- Coordinate the entire buying process for you from ratification to settlement and beyond.
- I am here to help you every step of the way, from getting you pre-qualified for a mortgage, to learning about neighborhoods, to getting the best price and terms.

Having a house “wish list” for your home keeps you focused on which features are most important to you.
When narrowing down your home search, consider the following:
- Know what type of home you want to buy
- Determine what age and condition is acceptable to you
- Consider resale potential
- Use a features wish list to keep focused

Determine What Type of Home You Want to Buy
Single family homes: One home per lot. Some single family homes are subject to a Home Owner’s Association and this will be disclosed to you.
Townhomes: Attached homes (row houses)
Condominiums: Monthly charges are required to pay your share of taxes and insurance for the common elements, as well as repairs and maintenance to the building. A homeowner’s/condo association administers the development.
Decide What Age and Condition of Home You Want to Purchase
Weigh your needs, budget and personal tastes in deciding whether you want to buy a newly constructed home, an older home or a ”fixer-upper” that requires some work.
Consider Resale Potential
As you look at homes, you may want to keep in mind these resale considerations: high school cluster, number of bedrooms and baths, location of lot, location of neighborhood, proximity to shopping and how close the area is to commuting routes such as the Beltway.
